PRAYER, IN THE U.S.A. ON MONDAY & TUESDAY

By Dr. Hoyt W. Allen, Jr.

On Monday (September 11, 2001 * The day Terrorists attacked the U.S.A.), there were people fighting against praying in schools
On Tuesday you would have been hard pressed
to find a school where someone was not praying

On Monday there were people trying to separate each other
by race, sex, color, creed, and politics
On Tuesday they were all holding hands

On Monday we thought that we were secure
On Tuesday we learned better, as real security is found only in the Creator

On Monday we were talking about heroes as being athletes
On Tuesday we learned what heroism was

On Monday people went to work at the World Trade Center as usual
On Tuesday many of them died or were wounded

On Monday the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) and many people were fighting against the Ten Commandments on government property
On Tuesday many of those same people were saying 'God help us',
while thinking 'Thou shall not kill'

On Monday people argued with their kids about doing their chores
On Tuesday the same people could not get home

fast enough to hug their kids

On Monday people picked up McDonalds for dinner
On Tuesday they stayed home and cooked supper as a family

On Monday people were upset being required to wait in line at the market On Tuesday they were standing in line to give blood for the dying

On Monday politicians argued about budget surpluses
On Tuesday grief stricken together they sang 'God Bless America'

On Monday we worried about the traffic and getting to work late
On Tuesday we worried about a plane crashing into
our house or work place

On Monday we were aggravated that our rebate checks had not arrived
On Tuesday we saw people grieving over people dying needlessly

On Monday some families were complete and happy
On Tuesday some were widowed, orphaned, and sad

On Monday the president was going to Florida to read to children
On Tuesday he returned to Washington to protect our children

On Monday we e-mailed jokes
On Tuesday we did not see anything that was funny
The Terrorist attacks on the U.S.A. on September 11, 2001 was a day which will never be forgotten. We learned some very important lessons in that we have taken for granted many freedoms and blessings. Hopefully we will never forget again and make the Creator the One whom we worship and serve on a regular basis.

Everyday we walk upon God's earth, eat God's food, drink God's water, and breathe God's air.He gives each of us 168 hours every week and expects us to express a spirit of thanks unto Him. However, we often are selfish and do not do as His Word (Bible) instructs us to do, such as:

1) Worship Him in a Church Service (Acts 2:42; Hebrews 10:25)  2) Share at least a tithe (10%) of what He grants unto us (I Corinthians 9:1-27)  3) Witness for Him (Matthew 28:18-20)

God is in need of many more Christians to share this message. Will we answer the call to be a Christian, if not already one If we had more Christians the world would be a better place to live and there would be more people to help share the Word about Jesus. Now, the Bible plan of salvation is very plain. The Book Of Acts teaches that one must:

1) Believe In Jesus As Savior (16:31)   2) Repent Of Sins (17:30)

3) Confess Christ Audibly (8:37)    4) Be Baptized In Water (2:38)

5) Live A Christian Life (14:22)  6) Be Active in the Churh (2:47)
