“JESUS NEEDS HELPERS”
By Dr. Hoyt W. Allen, Jr.
Someone passed the following article on to me and I thought that it should be
read. It has been slightly edited.
One day Satan and Jesus were having a conversation. Satan had just come from the
Garden of Eden, and he was feeling wicked satisfaction and flaunting. I just
caught the world full of people down there. Set me a trap, and used some bait
which I knew they
couldn't resist. Got 'em all!"
"What are you going to do with them?" Jesus asked.
Satan replied, "Oh, I'm gonna have fun! I'm gonna teach them how to marry and
divorce each other, how to hate and abuse each other, how to smoke, drink, drug,
curse, and be unfaithful to their spouses. I'm gonna teach them how to invent
knives, guns, bombs, chemicals and kill each other. I'm really gonna have
fun!"
"And what will you do when you get done with them?" Jesus asked. "Oh, I'll kill
'em," Satan glared proudly. “How
much do you want for them?" Jesus asked.
"Oh, you don't want those people. They are not any good. If you take them, they
will just hate you. They'll spit on you, curse you, denounce you and kill you!!
You don't want these people!"
"How much?" He asked again. Satan looked at Jesus and sneered, "All your tears,
and all your blood. Really, all of your life!"
Jesus replied, "Done!" Then He paid the price, which was dying on
Calvary’s Cross for the sins of all mankind.
Isn't it strange how seemingly easy it is for mankind to trash God and then
wonder why the world is in such a mess and seemingly going to hell. Isn't it
amusing how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible
says. It seems, there are

skeptics around every corner. Many of them are classified as scholars, by those
who are not acquainted with the truths of the Scriptures.
Isn't it almost comical how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they are not
required to believe what the Bible says when it comes to repentance, baptism, or
faithful Christian living?
Isn't it funny how someone can say "I believe in God" but still follow Satan
(who, by the way, also "believes" in God; see James 2:14-26).
Isn't it absurd how one can send a thousand jokes through e-mail and they spread
like wildfire, or they can tell jokes at the office or plant, but when one
begins sending e-mails or takes a verbal stand regarding the Lord (Jesus),
people think they are a fanatic.
Isn't it odd how the racy, coarse, indecent and unclean pass freely through
cyberspace, or at the water cooler at work, but public discussion of Jesus is
suppressed in the school and workplace.
Isn't it funny how someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday or at a
revival, but be an invisible Christian the rest of the week.
Just now, where are we fitting in? Are we what one can be identified as a
“Silent Christian”? If so, shame on us! The only person in town who can change
our situation is us.
Plainly, don’t get short changed. Be ready to meet our Maker. The Bible teaches
that to avoid hell and gain heaven - one must:
1) Believe In Jesus As Savior (Acts 16:31) 2) Repent Of Sins (Acts 17:30) 3)
Confess Christ Audibly (Acts 8:37) 4) Be Baptized In Water (Acts 2:38)
5) Live A
Christian Life (Acts 14:22) 6) Be Active in the Church (2:47)
