HOW TO BECOME A CHRISTIAN

Often a person asked the question, “How Does One Become A Christian”. Of all the questions one can ask in life this is probably the most important. I contend that there are several different answers given such as:
a) “Lay your hand on the radio or TV as the preacher prays for you to obtain salvation”. Then as he states that he just knows that so many in the radio or TV world has received Christ as Savior, one FEELS the presence of God in his or her life.
b) “Pray for God to grant to you the gift of tongues and when you have an experience in speaking unknown words, this will be a sign that one is saved”.
Now, the truth of the matter is ---- the above are both False Ways Of Salvation: The Bible teaches in Acts, that one must:
1) Believe In Jesus As Savior (16:31) – A true saving faith is one that is active. The kind that causes action, such as: a) That which caused Noah to build an Ark b) That which caused Joshua to march around Jericho
2) Repent Of Sins (17:30) – Turning away from known sin in one’s life is a absolute must. The only thing God wants us to avoid is that which harms us physically, emotionally, morally, or spiritually.
3) Confess Christ Audibly (8:37) – Just as a groom needs to confess his love toward his wife, the Christian needs to continuously needs to being confessing of Christ as his Savior.
4) Be Baptized In Water (2:38) – Immersion of the repentful believer is where on contacts the blood of Christ.
5) Live A Christian Life (14:22) – Bearing “Fruit Of The Spirit” demonstrated that we are walking with God and vice versa.
6) Be Active In A Church That Teaches The Bible (Acts 2:47) – In our journey through life, for the Christian to “grow”, one must be involved with other Christians. This is very true, as Jesus said, “… be faithful till death and you will receive a crown of life…” (Rev. 2:10).
