Many think that water baptism alone is what saves a person from their pa=

sins. However, as a good stud=
ent of
God’s Word, one is “taking away from the Scriptures” to s=
ay
that one does not need to be baptized to be saved (see Mark 16:16; Acts 2:3=
8).

nbsp; Sometimes
a person who has been saved by God’s grace, will still fail to forgive
him/herself and go through life with a spirit
of guilt thinking that they have not done enough to “make
right” their past wrongs.
Sometimes one even thinks that he/she has been too bad to be forgive=
n.
Often a person feels this way due to not
understanding the Biblical doctrine of “Grace”.
=
Grace is the true basis of salvati=
on. It is God’s gift to sinful m=
an,
who does not deserve salvation (Romans 3:23; 6:23). It is impossible for sinful man to=
work
his/her way to Heaven or to buy
one’s way through the golden gates (Ephesians 2:8,9).
=
Grace
really means that God does not treat mankind the way they should be treated=
. As sinners, we deserve the wrath o=
f God
(Eternal Hell). But due to
God’s love and merciful attributes - He
is willing to forgive and to forget all of the sins which mankind
commits (Hebrews 8:12; 10:17), if faith in Christ and repentance (turning f=
rom
known sin) is accomplished.
Therefore, mankind should never insult God by refusing to forgive
themselves nor by refusing to forget what God has forgotten.
