A SIMPLE SAMPLE PRAYER
By Dr. Hoyt W. Allen, Jr.
No matter how busy
one gets - no one
should never get too
busy to pray. One
can pray without a
single cent in one’s
pocket. A person can
pray as they drive
down the freeway as
well as in a church
building. A prayer
can be offered to
the Creator on
Sunday morning at
10:00 from a pew or
at 3:00 AM in an
Emergency Room in a
local hospital. Some
important things
about prayer are: 1)
Do it often 2) Do
not pray only in the
”asking mode” 3)
Offer more prayers
of “Thanks” than
prayers of request
A Sample Prayer:
Father, I ask you to
bless those reading
this right now.
It is my prayer that
each reader is a
Christian and if
not, that he become
one.
I am asking You to
minister to their
spirit at this
instant.
Where there is pain,
give them relief.
If they are
skeptical, grant
them assurance that
You will help them.
Where there is
weariness, I ask You
to give them
strength as they
learn submission to
Your governing.
Where there is
spiritual recession,
I ask You to renew
them by revealing
Your nearness, and
by drawing them
close to You.
If they have fear,
reveal Your love and
deliver Your courage
to them.
Where there is sin
obstructing - reveal
it, and break its
hold on them.
If there is a need
for vision, please
grant to them
insight.
Give each of them
judgment to
recognize the evil
forces and reveal to
them the power they
have in You to
defeat evil.
I ask You to do
these things in
Jesus' name.
The Bible teaches in
the Book of Acts
that one must:
1) Believe In Jesus
As Savior (16:31) 2)
Repent Of Sins
(17:30)
3) Confess Christ
Audibly (8:37) 4) Be
Baptized In Water
(2:38)
5) Live A Christian
Life (14:22) 6) Be
Active in Church
(2:47)
