"WHAT IS A REVIVAL?"

Webster's dictionary says that "Revival" is "A coming back into use, attention, after a decline...". Seemingly individuals, Bible classes, youth groups, fellowships, & congregations get INTO A RUT & need revived periodically.

I contend that Revivals are not out of style. They are not old fashioned & still serve a purpose in today's world. Multitudes are still saved every year during a few days of Revival Services.

There is just something about a congregation of Christians gathering together for a series of services - that gets the blood flowing freely. When a fresh Preacher and Song Leader are invited to lead out --- there is a sweet spirit in the place.

Hearts surrender to Jesus' way when the singing is upbeat & the old favorites are sang at a high pitch; where the gospel is proclaimed in its' fullness & the Holy Spirit is convicting of sin through the Word. Revival Services are great!

When church members are busy praying for lost; friends, fellow-students, co-workers, back-sliders, and a successful revival --- it is good. It is also good to see people bringing people as their guests to the Revival Services. God is counting on each of us to help make this a successful Revival --- How about it? Can God count on you being present at each Service? Would you pray for a Revival in your life? Last of all would you pray, "Lord, lay some soul upon my heart and love that soul through me; And may I nobly do my part - To win that soul for thee."?
