NATION, INTERESTING FACTS

By Dr. Hoyt W. Allen, Jr.

Our nation has had several liberal-minded and God-rejecting people in high positions who want our nation, who was founded upon Godly principles to avoid our founding fathers’ beliefs in the Bible’s teachings.  Strange as it seems - there is still a great deal of evidence of founding fathers’ beliefs.  Some of those are:

 1) As you walk up the steps to the Building which houses the Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is  facing  forward   with  a  full frontal view...... It is Moses and the Ten Commandments!

2) As  you  enter  the  Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors   have  the  Ten  Commandments   engraved  on  each   lower

portion of each door.

3) As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall right above where   the   Supreme   Court   judges   sit,   a   display  of  the Ten Commandments!

4) There   are  Bible   verses  etched  in  stone   all  over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington, D.C.

5) James Madison, the fourth president, known as "The Father of Our Constitution" made the following statement "We have staked the whole of all our political institutions upon the capacity of mankind for self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us  to  govern  ourselves,  to  control ourselves, to sustain ourselves

according to the Ten Commandments of God."

6) Patrick Henry,  that  patriot and  Founding Father of our country

said,  "It  cannot  be  emphasized  too strongly or too often that this

great nation was founded not by religionists but  by  Christians,  not

on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ".

  7) Every  session  of  Congress  begins  with  a  prayer  by  a  paid

preacher whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777.

  8) Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established orthodox churches in the colonies. Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority  and  instead  of   interpreting the law would begin making

law an oligarchy, the rule of few over many.

  9) The   very    first   Supreme    Court   Justice,   John  Jay,   said, "Americans should select and prefer Christians as their rulers."

Now then, how have we, a nation that has been so very blessed by the hand of the Creator God of this universe, gotten to the point that everything we have done for 200+ years in this country is now suddenly  wrong, dishonest, underhanded, deceitful, corrupt, unjust, depraved, and unconstitutional?  This is really strange, isn’t it?

In 1963 our nation allowed one woman to cease Bible reading and prayer in our public schools and we have gone “down hill” with super-speed ever since.  Do we need people in high positions to have back bone to stand against the imps from hell who have been seeking to lead this nation astray from God?   May the God of this  universe   find   each   Bible  believer  to   stand   up  today and   be

counted to be on His side.  It is not the Ten Commandments which need removed - but the vulgarities  used  on  TV  and  alternate  life styles being accepted as normal.  We shall all answer for our sins!

Plainly, don’t get short changed.  Let’s be ready to meet our Maker.  The Bible (In Acts) teaches that to avoid hell and gain heaven - one must:

1) Believe In Jesus As Savior (16:31)  2) Repent Of Sins  (17:30)

3) Confess Christ Audibly (8:37)  4) Be Baptized In  Water (2:38)

5) Live A  Christian Life (14:22)   6) Be Active In the Church (2:47)
