FALSE PLAN OF SALVATION

“ACCEPTING JESUS AS
SAVIOR”

In today’s world many preachers on television
and many people are encouraged to accept Jesus as Savior. Yet many different ways are laid before one
as to what way or method that this is done.
Some
teach all one has to do is to recognize that he or she is a sinner, then to
pray the “Sinner’s Prayer”. It goes like this: “Lord Jesus, I recognize that I am a sinner
and accept you as my personal Savior”. Now that one has accepted Jesus as their
Savior they can rest assured that they are saved from the fires of hell
and expect to go to heaven upon
death. That is all there is to it - Praise
God and Hallelujah! Don’t you FEEL good
about your decision, one is normally asked.
Now,
other groups of well meaning spiritual minded people attempting to instruct
people to be saved will tell one that they need to do some different
things. Some are:
1)
“Lay your hand on the radio or TV as the preacher prays for you to obtain
salvation”. Then as he states that he
just knows that so many in the radio or TV world has received Christ as Savior,
one FEELS the presence of God in his or her life.
2)
“Pray for God to grant to you the
gift of tongues and when you have an experience in speaking unknown
words, this will be a sign that one is saved”.
3)
“Watch for an angel to appear
to you and thus through the angel you will be instructed about salvation”.
Now, the truth of the matter is ----
the above are all False Ways Of Salvation:
Plainly, don’t get short changed. Be ready to meet our Maker. The Bible teaches that to avoid hell and gain
heaven - one must:
1)
Believe In Jesus As Savior (Acts 16:31)
2) Repent Of Sins (Acts
17:30) 3) Confess Christ Audibly (Acts
8:37) 4) Be Baptized In Water (Acts 2:38) 5) Live A
Christian Life (Acts 14:22)
