“H E L L,  IS THERE  ONE  OR  NOT?”

            Mr. Johnson, a businessman from Kentucky, went on a business trip to California. He immediately sent an e-mail back home to his wife, JoAnne.

 

 

            Unfortunately, he mistyped the address and the e-mail ended up going  to a Mrs. Joan Johnson, the widow of a recently deceased minister. The preacher's wife took one look at the e-mail and promptly fainted.

 

 

            When her family finally revived her and asked her what had happened, she nervously pointed to the  message on the computer’s e-mail, which read: "Arrived safely, but it sure is hot down here".

 

 

            One may joke about hell, but God’s Bible is still the standard by which all mankind will be judged (John 8:24).  The truth of the entire matter is this - the Bible does teach that mankind will face a judgement and one will spend eternity in either heaven or hell.  One can take that to the bank.  Now, it has been Satan working through liberal theologians propagandizing the false doctrine that there is not a hell - but that is a lie.  One can take a skunk and paint its’ white stripe black and call it “kitty, kitty” all day long, but it is still a skunk.  Thus, one may “make light” of a conservative Bible believing child of God who teaches that there is a hell, but that does not make it go away (See these Scriptures (Hebrews. 9:27; Matthew 25:46; Revelation 20:11-15).

 

            Plainly, don’t get short changed. The Bible teaches that to avoid hell and gain heaven - one must:

 

 1) Believe In Jesus As Savior (Acts 16:31)

 2) Repent Of Sins (Acts 17:30)

 3) Confess Christ Audibly (Acts 8:37)

 4) Be Baptized In Water (Acts 2:38)

 5) Live A  Christian Life (Acts 14:22)
 6) Stay Active in the Church (Acts 2:47)

 

            The Bible teaches in several places that there were FALSE TEACHERS  present during the period in which the Bible was being written and there would be more in the future.  Some are:  

A) Matthew 7:15-23  B) Matthew 15: 1-9  C) I Timothy 4:1-3

D) II Timothy 4:3,4  E) II Peter 2:1
