JOB TITLE: Technician
INDIVIDUALS SUPERVISED: 0
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assess and resolve a wide range of computer, network and telephony related issues and problems for our clients. Provide support and quality service to our customer base by installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing personal computers, peripherals, and telecommunications facilities. Provide technical support for various ISP services such as e-mail and connection issues.
Responsible for new computer, network and telephone installs, number porting, VOIP troubleshooting, etc.
Requires broad based skills related to networking, telephony infrastructure and computer systems.
Will be responsible for keeping Trouble Reporting System up to date. Accurately and efficiently updates tickets and wiring databases, monitoring tickets, e-mail and voicemail for outstanding problems and response as well as timely customer follow up.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF THE JOB
1. Network troubleshooting and repair
2. Telephone number porting and wiring installations
3. PC /Laptop Repair
4. Router and Software configuration and troubleshooting
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* High School Diploma or equivalent/A+ certification a plus
* A minimum of 2 years experience Preferred in the following areas:
-Microsoft PC and Server Operating Systems
-Telephone Systems (Nortel, VOIP)
-Network and Telephone wiring
-Network and Windows trouble shooting
-Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
· Monday-Friday (8:30am-5:00pm)**hours may vary
· Must have reliable transportation
· Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
· Must have excellent communication and customer relation skills
JOB TITLE: Internet Support/Computer Repair Technician
INDIVIDUALS SUPERVISED: 0
POSITION SUMMARY:
Assess and troubleshoot a wide range of computer and internet related issues and problems for our clients. Provide technical support for various ISP services such as e-mail, dial up, DSL and VOIP connection issues. Assist with wiring installs.
Will be responsible for keeping Trouble Reporting System up to date. Accurately and efficiently updates tickets, monitoring tickets, e-mail and voicemail for outstanding problems and response as well as timely customer follow up.
