Effective immediately, we will no longer offer in store computer repair. In addition, we will close our store front at 125 Maple Street in Port Clinton as of April 4, 2018 and relocate to the new Ohio Telecom building located at 115 W 2nd Street in Port Clinton, next to the post office.

To Our Valued Customers,

Computer Resources (Cros net) has been in the computer sales and service business since 1994. During that time, many things have changed. In 1996, we started dialup Internet service and a few years later we started selling DSL. There was a time when we had 5 stores, around 15 computer techs and 40 – 50 computers lined up to be worked on. Over the years, the computer repair portion of our business has become less and less and the Internet portion became the focus. Back when we started, a new computer would run $2,000 to $3,000 and today you can buy a computer with much more power for a couple hundred dollars. Computer repair is at the point where it does not make sense to continue to maintain a store front and a tech area to just support computer repair. So, effective immediately, we will no longer offer in store computer repair. In addition, we will close our store front at 125 Maple Street in Port Clinton as of April 4, 2018.

As they say, when one chapter ends another begins. Even though the computer repair will be gone, Cros Net will still be here. Cros Net employees will move to the new Ohio Telecom building located at 115 W 2nd Street in Port Clinton, next to the Post Office. We will still offer all of the other services including networking and network management, VPN, wireless networks, Internet service, web hosting, on site computer repair, etc.

Over the past 2 years, Cros Net has worked with our sister company Ohio Telecom to migrate local, Port Clinton DSL and Coax customers to Ohio Telecom’s all fiber network. Ohio Telecom is continuing to build their fiber network and plans to have Oak Harbor and Catawba covered this summer. As the fiber network continues to be built we will continue to migrate our customers to that network.

We appreciate everyone that has used Computer Resources services in the past and we’re looking forward to helping Ohio Telecom build the best network in the region.

Thank You,

Michael Christiansen, President
